The Ohio State University, the University of Cincinnati, and Miami University invite all law schools and law-related vendors and organizations to participate in our joint Ohio Virtual Law Expo on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm.  This event will be facilitated using Handshake's Virtual Fair platform which provides law schools with the capability to host both 30-minute group sessions and 10-minute 1-to-1 conversations.

There is a fee of $75 for law schools, $100 for test preparation companies and other vendors, and $25 for pre-law/legal education non-profit organizations to participate.  The deadline to register is Wednesday, September 23, 2020.  Each school/vendor/non-profit that registers will be provided with information about our schools and interested students, access to speak with students directly over video, and additional opportunities.  Click on the link above to go to the Handshake event page to register and for payment information (this feature will be activated later in July when the event opens for registrations).

Wednesday September 30

9:00am-3:30pm - Law schools and vendors are invited to schedule pre-law advisor conversations during the day as a way to connect on a program level.

4:00-7:00pm - Ohio Virtual Law Expo, Handshake platform sessions.  Details about scheduling both 30-minute group sessions and 10-minute individual appointments will be provided by Handshake; law schools are welcome to use the 3-hour block in whatever manner works best, for example:

  • Option 1 - 30 minute sessions at 4:00, 4:30, and 5:00pm, with 10 minute appointments scheduled from 5:30-7:00pm
  • Option 2 - 30 minute sessions at 4:00, 5:00, and 6:00pm, with 10 minute appointments scheduled in-between

These are not the only options however due to student schedules and availability we recommend spacing out both the group sessions and the individual appointment slots.  Schools which expect high interest will want to consider having multiple admission representatives available in order to offer more 1-on-1 appointments.

Thursday October 1 and Friday October 2

9:00am-5:00pm - Law schools and vendors are invited to call the Law Expo organizers for any follow-up needs or conversations.

Clearly this section is not needed for a virtual event, however we're keeping it as a placeholder should we realize another section is needed on this webpage.
