Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Mock Admissions Review Session

Partial law school application
October 7, 2025
3:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Ohio Union Senate Chamber

Following the 2025 Ohio State Law Fair, all pre-law students and alumni are invited to attend a Mock Admissions Review session with admission deans and directors from several law schools around the country.  Come hear what the professionals are looking for when they read applications and what red flags might arise!  Featuring:

  • Ty Brent, Director of JD Admissions at Seton Hall Law School
  • Angelica Rocco Mooney, Assistant Director of Admissions at Fordham University School of Law
  • Jason Owen, Assistant Dean, Admissions and Financial Aid at University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law
  • Colleen Roney, Assistant Director of Admissions at UC Irvine School of Law

Even if you're not considering one of the law schools participating, the panel's discussion will be broader than their institutions and informative regardless of your particular law school or legal field of interest.

Pre-registration via Handshake is recommended (though not required).

Part of "24 Hours of Pre-Law" centered around the 2025 Ohio State Law Fair, this event is free and open to the public - you do not need to be an Ohio State student to attend.
